We have explored many aspects of health and wellness in our collective 50 years as health care professionals. After all of this study and experience, we have become most excited about the science of Epigenetics. (Bet you figured that one out already since our company name is the Centre for Epigenetic Expression).
That is a complex sounding word, what really is epigenetics? When we break it down it really isn’t that intimidating:
EPI – above
GENETICS – our genes
So what we are really talking about is “beyond your genetics” or, as we prefer to say, Beyond Your Wildest Genes
Twenty years ago, science taught us that genes were the ultimate determining factor for life and health. And yes, they do have key roles in determining some things, like the color of our eyes. However, our full life expression is much more than just our genes alone.
Science now estimates that only 10-12% of your health is determined by your genes. Almost 90% of your health is determined by the epigenetic influences – the life choices – you make every day.
Looking for more information on epigenetics and healthy lifestyles?
We have a completely free podcast where we interview amazing people from around that world in areas of natural health and wellness. It’s called Beyond Your Wildest Genes.
We have been thrilled by the response since we began in October of 2015. We are closing in on 250,000 subscribers in a few months and have dozens of amazing episodes that you can enjoy.
Check it out, subscribe and download or listen to the ones that interest you…and share with those you love. We want the entire world to know the secrets of living vibrant, healthy lives and you can help us pass the word along.
